The Fishers’ valleys
The fishers’ valleys consist of the valleys of the rivers Trebbia, Aveto, Sturla and Graveglia,
placed in the Tigullio’s hinterland, on Appennino, that separates Liguria from Emilia Romagna,
Lombardia and Piemonte. They are characterized by an hydrographic node of primay importance,
composed by the rivers Trebbia, Aveto, which interest the Po basin and Graveglia and Sturla
which interest the Tyrrhenian basins.
The essential characteristic of these valleys is the variety of landscape which marks them.
The wealth of valuable natural and historical-architectonic elements arranges for this territory
to be able to become reason for specific sightseeing.
Sports Fishing
The four rivers which compose the Fishers’ Valleys present for all the fonds of sports fishing
a very valuable quality of water and ichtyc fauna (we can recall Temolo, Fario Trout, Carp, Cavedano).
Gastronomy and Typical Products
The culinary tradiction is rich and well represented also because of the presence of numerous typical
products as: olive-oil and wine in Graveglia Valley, hazel-nut and cherries in Sturla Valley, cheese in
Aveto Valley, honey of quality and cakes in Trebbia Valley as well as chestnuts spread on the whole territory.
The Natural Parks
The naturalistic-ambient quality of the territory in the Fishers’ Valleys is witnessed by the presence of
two natural parks: the Regional Park of Antola and the Aveto Natural Park. Those natualistic presences are
visible to the tourist thanks to a close net of excursionistic courses.
